Le livre dit qu&#39;elle a choisi Tallahassee pour la marche en raison de son r\u00f4le central dans l&#39;am\u00e9lioration de la vie des personnes touch\u00e9es par les abus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&quot;J&#39;ai toujours trouv\u00e9 que c&#39;est un endroit o\u00f9 un vrai changement a lieu&quot;, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Book.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&quot;C&#39;est juste devenu une pi\u00e8ce si sp\u00e9ciale pour moi en regardant ces survivants devenir des individus prosp\u00e8res qui ne permettent pas de les d\u00e9finir.&quot;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pendant la session ordinaire, comme en 2019, l&#39;\u00e9v\u00e9nement aurait lieu en avril pour le mois de la sensibilisation aux agressions sexuelles. Mais avec les l\u00e9gislateurs se r\u00e9unissant t\u00f4t en raison de l\u2019ann\u00e9e \u00e9lectorale, l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement de Book s\u2019est \u00e9galement intensifi\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Plusieurs autres groupes pr\u00e9voient \u00e9galement de marcher au nom des survivants. Cela comprend les policiers qui ont r\u00e9pondu aux all\u00e9gations d&#39;abus, ainsi que les th\u00e9rapeutes en traumatologie qui marchent une minute pour chaque client qu&#39;ils ont vu au cours de l&#39;ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le livre dit qu&#39;elle se souvient encore tr\u00e8s bien du jour o\u00f9 elle a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois ses propres abus lorsqu&#39;elle \u00e9tait enfant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abCe fut un mauvais moment. Ce fut une p\u00e9riode vraiment difficile. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Book a lanc\u00e9 Lauren\u2019s Kids pour aider d\u2019autres survivantes de violence \u00e0 obtenir de l\u2019aide et du soutien. Lorsque le groupe a lanc\u00e9 son premier \u00e9v\u00e9nement Walk in My Shoes, Book a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu&#39;elle l&#39;avait utilis\u00e9 pour \u00abse d\u00e9barrasser du mal\u00bb r\u00e9sultant du traumatisme qu&#39;elle avait v\u00e9cu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Avec plus d&#39;attention et de soutien rassembl\u00e9s pour la question, Book affirme que les participants y voient quelque chose de pleinement valorisant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&quot;Vous pouvez gu\u00e9rir, vous pouvez survivre et vous prosp\u00e9rerez si vous faites le travail&quot;, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Book.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abJ&#39;aurais aim\u00e9 avoir un mod\u00e8le pour \u00e7a quand je serais grand.
